Bournemouth Oceanarium is an underwater adventure that takes the visitor around the waters of the world in one day.
More than 150 different species of fish can be seen at theOceanarium. They’ve got everything from scary looking sharks right through to the gorgeous clownfish of “Finding Nemo” fame.
Invertebrates such as spiny lobsters, horseshoe crabs, spider crabs, corals, sea urchins, starfish, octopus and barnacles, all live in the Oceanaium.

All on its own at the moment is the family of small clawed otter – a playful bunch, they can be seen in ‘Otter Oasis.’

Interactive Dive Cage
Experience the thrill of a dive cage without getting wet. Bournemouth Oceanarium’s virtual Interactive Dive Cage submerges visitors in a 270-degree continuous view of the ocean.
The Oceanarium have a custom-built penguin enclosure specifically designed to replicate the birds’ natural habitat with a deep pool, beach, rockery and nesting boxes. A glass fronted beach walkway and underwater viewing windows allow visitors to marvel at how they gracefully dip and dive through the water. The penguins have recently been joined by the fascinating Inca Tern.
