Bournemouth Beach

Bournemouth beach is a continuous stretch of 10 miles from Hengistbury Head, near Christchurch to Sandbanks, Poole.

Buckets and spades, walking, cycling,  eating, talking, chilling – it’s all at Bournemouth beach. Try the zip wire at Bournemouth Pier, kayaking, surfing or stand-up paddling at Boscombe.

Stunning views across to the ‘Wight Bear’ at the Needles on the Isle of Wight to the east, and over to Swanage and Old Harry’s Rock to the west. Warm water and a micro-climate that locals swear by, makes Bournemouth a great destination for families.

Bournemouth beach is also one of the safest beaches in the UK with RNLI Lifeguards based all the way along our seven mile stretch of beach – full season cover runs from 30 April to 30 September.
