Q: How do I find the hotel?
A: Our post code is BH2 5AX if you’re using a satnav. See detailed map and directions.
Q: Is there parking at the hotel?
A: There is very limited parking at the hotel and it is unlikely that we will be able to accommodate you in our car park. There are a number of car parks nearby. Find details of car parks in Bournemouth. If parking is available at the hotel when you arrive it will be £10 per night.
Q: How do I get to Bournemouth on public transport?

Q: What facilities do the bedrooms have?
A: The majority of our bedrooms have en-suite bathroom facilities with a walk-in shower or a bath with shower over. The facilities include bed linen (duvet), towels, hair/body wash, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, TV and radio.
Q: Does the hotel have free WiFi?
Q: Will the hotel be able to accommodate my special requirements?
A: Our hotel is very old so there are some limitations based on the age of the building. There is a lift. It is important that you get in touch with us in advance of your stay to discuss any special requirements regarding your bedroom.
Q: Does the hotel cater for special dietary requirements?
A: Yes. We are pleased to cater for special dietary requirements.
Q: Does the hotel welcome children?
A: Yes. We are very pleased to welcome children. We have cots (charged at £5 per night) and high chairs – please let us know in advance if you need these so that we can be ready for your arrival.
Q: Does the hotel welcome dogs?
A: We permit one small well behaved dog in some of our bedrooms provided that it is fully house trained and does not cause a disturbance to other guests. Dogs are not allowed in any of the public areas and no catering arrangements can be made. There is a £5 per night charge for dogs. No other pets are allowed.
Q: Does the hotel welcome groups?
A: We welcome groups all year round. These include bowls tours, bridge holidays, cyclists, walkers and many other groups for special interest holidays. We also host reunions and family get-togethers. Unfortunately we can’t accept stag or hen parties – but we can recommend other hotels that do.
Q: What can I pre-book to enhance my stay?
A: You can pre-book the following at extra cost:
Early Check-in (£10), Late Check-out (£10), 3 course Dinner with coffee (£19 per person), a chilled bottle of wine in your bedroom (House wine £14.75, Prosecco £19.95 or House Champagne £29.95). If parking is available at the hotel when you arrive it will be £10 a night. Call or email the hotel to book any of these items.
Q: What should I do if I need to cancel or change my stay?
A: It depends whether you have booked direct with the hotel or through a third party (like an Online Travel Agent). If you booked direct with the hotel you need to contact the hotel as soon as possible. If you booked through an Online Travel Agent (like booking.com) then you need to contact them in the first instance. The terms and conditions of your booking will be on your confirmation paperwork.
Q: Can I check in to my bedroom earlier than 2pm?
A: This is usually possible please call or email in advance of your stay. The price is £10.

Q: Is breakfast included?
A: Breakfast is usually included in the price of your stay. Please check your confirmation paperwork.
Q: Can I book dinner?
A: Yes the menu is on display each day and you can book a table for dinner at reception. Our 3 course dinner with coffee is £19 per person.
Q: Can I arrange an early breakfast?
A: Yes. If it is too early for a cooked breakfast you can have a continental breakfast or a sandwich to take-away.
Q: I am going to a show can I arrange an early dinner?
A: Yes. Please talk to reception.
Q: Can I check out of my bedroom later than 10am?
A: This is usually possible please discuss with reception during your stay or call or email in advance. The price is £10.
Q: Can I leave my luggage at the hotel and collect it later?
Making the most of your stay
Q: What is there to do in walking distance of the hotel?
A: In the immediate vicinity of the hotel (within 10 minutes walk) there is so much to do for example: Bournemouth Lower gardens, town centre shops, Pavilion theatre, cinemas, Bournemouth International Centre, the Pier and the beach, the Zip wire on the pier, Rock Reef on the pier, Oceanarium. Q: Where can we eat and drink in walking distance of the hotel?
A: In the immediate vicinity of the hotel (within 10 minutes walk) there are lots of great pubs, coffee shops and restaurants.
Q: Do you have any other tips for things to do?
A: We recommend the following:
Find Gigi’s gelateria in the arcade off Old Christchurch road (for Italian ice cream made in Bournemouth).
Find The Goat & Tricycle pub in West Hill Road for a choice of real ales.
Buy chips at Harry Ramsdens and enjoy them sitting on the seafront (watch out for the seagulls).
Take the Purbeck Breezer (number 50) to Swanage going across on the chain link ferry from Sandbanks.
Walk up to the Central Gardens to Coy Pond to enjoy a beautiful relaxing area of calm.
Take the Hop on Hop off bus from Bournemouth Square and get off at Poole Harbour walk along the quay and admire the Sunseeker superboats.
